Goods and services are typically procured through
a request for proposal process. This may vary on a case-by-case basis
depending on the scope of the project or purchase.
Once a bid is accepted, a successful bidder will need
to obtain a Mille Lacs Band vendor license through the Gaming Regulatory
Authority. The cost of the license
is based on the contractor's annual business with
the Band.
Once a license is received, a contract or purchase
order will be initiated. These documents will detail the scope of
work and contractual information required by the Band as it relates
to arbitration, governing law, and sovereign immunity.
